Uncharted 4 and Channel 4 team up for channel's first live Twitter competition

Those tuning in to Channel 4’s Gogglebox tonight will have the opportunity to win Uncharted 4 prizes by entering the channel’s first ever live Twitter competition.

The show’s first commercial break has been taken over by Sony to push Uncharted 4 with a “large” section of gameplay to be showcased. Viewers will then be able to get on Twitter to answer a question using the #Uncharted4Live hashtag, with winners revealed during the final ad break.

In addition, 4Creative has developed an ident showing the Channel 4 logo’s blocks turning into jewels and sliding across a pirate map.

Lauren Bradley, group marketing manager at Sony Computer Entertainment UK, said: “We believe Uncharted 4 is the best-looking game ever made, which is a bold statement and one we want to reinforce.

“The ad break takeover with Channel 4 has given us the perfect format for doing so and showing off this extraordinary game to its fullest.”

Channel 4 Agency Principal Chris Braithwaite added: “We’re thrilled to be able to announce our first ever live Twitter competition. This innovative new ad is sure to engage both PlayStation fans and Gogglebox viewers alike and it’s been great to partner with PlayStation again ahead of the release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.”
